Plan a Family Game Night with Beyonder

A true labor of love and successfully funded Kickstarter project from Flying NightBear Games, Beyonder can make a great centerpiece for a family game night. The low fantasy pen-and-paper RPG was crafted and molded from a world the lead designer created to play with his own family dating back to the 1970s, with modern RPG rules conventions and the benefits of a hired-on number cruncher to make sure the system works.

Encourage children to take on leadership roles in play situations as they exit the mundane world around, say once per week, and take on the role of one of Beyonder's ten playable races, including the diminutive, highly intelligent Dwaheely and the tribal, nature-oriented Ushen.

What Children can Learn

Beyonder is new on the RPG scene, with a system that is built with the primal powers of the Six Energies, granting each character class one of hundreds of powers for custom play. It's a great way to encourage family bonding while helping children to think critically for themselves, rewarding imagination with new and engaging story events at every turn.

Helpful Resources for the Game

The core rulebook, "Beyonder: The Science of the Six", contains everything you will need to play the game, although the team also publishes a beastiary and has a campaign book in the works. The bestiary book itself is a work of art and should seriously help get the wheels turning for a family campaign, written from the perspective of a historical account by an in-game character and titled "Imbehnhi's Bestiary: Being a Travelers Account of Our Continent and Her Creatures."
